EBOO stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and is the most advanced form of ozone treatment available today. EBOO is a unique form of ozone therapy that heals and detoxifies by stimulating oxygen metabolism, activating the immune system, and eliminating viruses, fungi, bacteria, yeast, and protozoa. It works by essentially mimicking a dialysis machine. Blood is drawn from one vein, and is passed through an EBOO ozone machine which is designed to clean blood from the debris of destroyed germs, heavy metals, fungus, etc. Then, it is ozonated in stages, and reintroduced into the body through another vein.

The entire procedure takes place within a closed system to eliminate any possibility of contamination. An EBOO treatment typically takes 1 hour and approximately 1.8 to 3 liters of blood is filtered per treatment. So who can benefit most from EBOO treatments and what are some of the ozone therapy benefits?

1. Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease is serious and leads to heart attacks, strokes, heart failure, arrhythmia, and heart valve complications every day. In fact, once every 40 seconds, another American suffers a heart attack. Poor diet, lifestyle, genetic predispositions, and many other factors can lead to heart disease and heart failure. It is important to assess our lifestyles as a key factor in preventing cardiovascular diseases, but also work to rid the body of the toxins that caused it in the first place. EBOO treatments can help rid the body of these toxins and can be part of an overall plan to ensure you do not again suffer a heart attack, stroke, or other ailments associated with heart disease.

2. Diabetes

Diabetes affects how the body uses blood sugar or glucose. Glucose is an important source of energy for the cells that make up your muscles and tissues and is vital to keeping your brain fueled. While there are different types of diabetes, the symptoms are often similar across them, albeit more severe or fast-acting in certain cases.

People with diabetes can experience increased thirst, frequent urination, extreme hunger, unexplained weight loss, fatigue, irritability, blurred vision, among other unpleasant side effects. Having diabetes can have a huge impact on your life and you need to be very aware of lifestyle adjustments that need to be made, along with a diet that will help you live a full life. EBOO can be used as part of an overall treatment plan for diabetes to help detoxify the blood and assist with these symptoms.

3. Lyme Disease

Lyme disease is the most common vector-borne disease in the United States. It is transmitted through the bite of an infected blacklegged tick. Ticks can be found in grassy areas, and hikers are warned about them often. Symptoms of lyme disease can include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash. If left untreated, the lyme disease infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system.

EBOO has been found to be an excellent reliever of Lyme disease symptoms including inflammation, fatigue, neuropathy, and brain fog. This disease can be absolutely debilitating for people and EBOO has given many a chance to get back to normal life.

Other Types of Regenerative Medicine Therapies

While conventional medicine seeks to recognize the disease and treat it with drug-based therapies and surgeries, functional medicine is an approach used at our Bloomfield Hills location and all other American Regenerative locations. The functional medicine approach seeks to use a systems-oriented approach and discover the underlying causes of ailments by conversing with patients and discovering more about genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health. There are other therapies that can help with ailments and diseases besides EBOO.

Prolotherapy is a therapy that can help with joint pain relief. It works by injecting an irritant solution (most often Dextrose) into the affected ligaments and tendons supporting these joints causing you discomfort. The irritant solution causes local, controlled inflammation, and leads to an increase in blood supply and flow of nutrients, growth factors, and mediators. Essentially, it stimulates the tissue into repairing itself!

The stem cell therapy treatments available at the American Regenerative Clinic locations are an incredible example of using the body’s own healing powers on itself. It essentially works by isolating stem cells from one location of the body (fat tissue or bone marrow) and relocating them to an area of disease, injury, or inflammation. This is accomplished by using stem cell injections to move stem cells from one area of the body to another.
